Urban & Hejduk says Kudela will drop appeal

Law firm issues statement on Slavia Prague website on behalf of player

Prague-based law firm Urban & Hejduk has issued a statement confirming that its client, Slavia Prague's Ondrej Kudela , has dropped an appeal against a 10-match ban for racially abusing Rangers' Glen Kamara in a Europa League match in March 2021.

Kudela had denied the allegation following the incident, but a statement from Urban & Hejduk, posted on the Slavia Prague website, confirmed the player had withdrawn the appeal.

A hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport had been expected to take place next month.

Following the announcement that the appeal had been dropped, Kamara said in a social media post that he felt vindicated and thanked the Rangers fans who had supported him and his legal advisor Aamer Anwar of Glasgow-based firm Aamer Anwar & Co.
