Rangers 'end court dispute with Sports Direct'

Scottish club have reportedly agreed to resolve matters on 'confidential basis'

Scottish club Rangers have reportedly settled their High Court dispute with sports goods retailer Sports Direct.

The Scottish Premiership side had been in a long-term dispute with Sports Direct following claims that Rangers' directors wrongly terminated a contract with the company.

Sports Direct, which was founded by Mike Ashley, the former owner of Newcastle United, filed a legal claim against Rangers for loss of earnings.

However, according to a report on The Athletic website, a High Court of Justice document shows that the parties have now agreed to resolve matters on a confidential basis and that proceedings have been halted.
