Brian R. Michael handled 21st Century Fox's response to FIFA corruption scandal

Law firm Morrison Foerster have recruited former 21st Century Fox deputy general counsel Brian R. Michael - who while with the company played a major role in its response to a FIFA corruption investigation - as a partner.
In 2020, two former senior executives at 21st Century Fox corporation were indicted over their alleged role in a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme involving kickbacks to FIFA officials in exchange for broadcast and marketing rights to some of the world’s biggest football tournaments.
Michael was responsible for handling legal matters arising from the case on behalf of 21st Century Fox.
Michael – who joins Morrison Foerster’s securities litigation, enforcement, and white collar defense group from law firm King & Spalding – also has experience handling compliance matters related to the sports media business.
