Morgan Sports Law clients win FIFA ruling

Updated: Jan 20, 2022

Footballers Alexis Yougouda Kada and Karime Benjamin Makongo were in dispute with Moroccan club MAS de Fès

The FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) accepted the claims of Alexis Yougouda Kada and Karime Benjamin Makongo for “outstanding remunerations and compensation” for breach of contracts after they unilaterally terminated their respective employment contracts with the Moroccan club, MAS de Fès, “with just cause”. In May 2021, the Club appealed the DRC decisions to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

On 17 December 2021, the CAS fully rejected both appeals and fully confirmed the DRC decisions.

The Players were represented in the CAS proceedings by partner William Sternheimer (pictured) of Morgan Sports Law, assisted by associate Imen Larabi and Christian Mbongo (agent and lawyer of Chrim Management).
