Club taking legal action against PSL in postponement dispute

South African football club Kaizer Chiefs have hired high profile sports lawyer Norman Arendse as they embark on a legal battle with the Premier Soccer League (PSL).
The club failed to fulfil two fixtures because of a surge in Covid cases, but the PSL rejected their request for the matches to be postponed.
Kaizer Chiefs now face a six point deduction, but they want to appeal against the decision to deny the postponement request and have hired the experienced Arendse to fight their case.
Arendse, a former cricketer, is a widely respected sports lawyer who has previously represented the South African Football Association in disputes with FIFA.
