FA to hire new legal director

New hire will lead the association's legal and governance division



The English Football Association (FA) has embarked on a recruitment process for a director of legal and governance.


The new recruit will lead the association’s legal and governance division and ensure it has a clear strategy and set of principles.


The role also involves advising and supporting the board, senior management team and council on matters relating to the FA's rules, regulations and responsibility, sport integrity, risk management and general legal issues.


The director of legal and governance also act as the chief regulatory officer to the Football Regulatory Authority which is the regulatory, disciplinary and rule-making authority of the FA.


The FA is conducting the recruitment process in partnership with recruiter Nolan Partners, which includes the League Managers Association and Brighton and Hove Albion FC among its clients.
