High court claim filed three months after sale of club

Former Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is reportedly taking legal action against Amanda Staveley, the financier who led the Saudi-backed takeover of the club.
There is little information about the exact details of the High Court claim, which has been issued three months after the £305 million sale was completed.
The deal involved the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) acquiring a majority stake in the club last autumn.
PIF was advised by Allen & Overy on the deal, with Ashley advised by Dentons.
