Law firm's team was led by partner Stephen Rigby

Norton Rose Fulbright advised Mr Jisheng Gao on his sale of a majority stake in Southampton Football Club to Sport Republic, an investment firm – led by Dragan Solak – that operates in the sports and entertainment industry.
Sport Republic will work in partnership with Katharina Liebherr, who retains her minority shareholding in the club. Norton Rose Fulbright advised on all aspects of the disposal, including advice in relation to the Premier League approval process and the tax aspects of the transaction. The London team was led by corporate partner and head of the firm’s sports law practice in the UK, Stephen Rigby. The team also included senior associate Sam Morrey and associate Tom Maturi. Partner Matthew Hodkin and associate Sofia Casselbrant advised on tax matters. Norton Rose Fulbright previously advised Mr Gao on his acquisition of a majority stake in Southampton Football Club in 2017.
